May 2018

I am taking part in the Worthing Artists’ Open Houses again this year. This time am showing mew porcelain in the WET End Gallery on Rowlands Road

Present work

Current work includes slipcast and carved porcelain form my workshop in Angmering. Most recently I am using oxides and stained slip to add a dimension of colour and surface variation.  I’m still carving through the layers of porcelain and am varying application from drips to lively streaks and smooth brush strokes.

Ceramic Artistry production has moved from  the former Worthing Art Studios, and had a successful and popular opening in West Worthing for the Worthing Artists Open Houses (WAOH) July/June 2017 and more recently at Collonade House, a creative hub in Worthing.

I am making an order of my tallest vase yet, making a set of functional plates with a matching vase, cup and tall mug. here are some of the pieces in the ‘reed’ design.

I have also delivered my first order for an urn for ashes. This adds a new direction to the function and purpose of pottery.
